Movies DS11 and me can both enjoy?

We used to love watching series and movies together when my DS was younger, but now, age 11, we can’t seem to find many things we both enjoy. Stuff he loves - action, silly, battle, Star Wars type stuff etc - I don’t particularly enjoy and similarly anything that has any hint of ‘serious content’ isn’t his cup of tea unless hidden in a gripping story. We’ve in the past enjoyed series like BBC’s Merlin and Robin Hood, and recently the two newer Agatha Christie Poirot films. We like the cinema And have Amazon prime.

Any recommendations?

They are all a bit fantasy but I've enjoyed watching them with my DS.

Sweet Tooth - Netflix
The Rings of Power - Prime
His Dark Materials - BBC

I hope you find something to enjoy together.

Sorry just realised they are series not movies, recently we've also watched the original Top Gun and the new Top Gun film which we both really enjoyed.

Series recommendations just as welcome!

Ds loves anything marvel. We started Good Omens last night. He's a huge John Finnemore fan so I'm really looking forward to him getting to season 2. We also watch the last airbender on netflix. He's seen it a million times so is delighted to be introducing me to it.
