Help! Melted plastic balloon on new wooden table

Very strange, I know. Or maybe it’s not that strange and I just didn’t know… Anyway, I tried putting fairy liquid on it and I have gotten some of it off, just rubbing it with a microfiber cloth, and then going over it with water. But it has left a stain, the balloon was blue and I can’t seem to get it off. What can I do now to hopefully remove the stain without damaging the table? I am in Greece by the way, so may not be able to get some products that you can get in the UK

WD 40? I've used that on stains with good results

Oooh I was going to suggest this to get the balloon off, trouble is I wonder if it would leave a greasy stain?

Maybe do a patch test? I've used it on clothes and the WD 40 has come out
