I've been hospitalised this past week with what was initially thought to be community pneumonia but after the CT scan was told its bronchiolitis. As it mainly affects babies and children I'm finding it hard to both understand why I would have it as an otherwise healthy adult and also what the recovery time will be. I've been on antibiotics for a week now and a stronger one for three days and my chest is still very rattly.
It's been really frightening and my Dr's didn't give me any information before discharge aside from "come back if it gets worse".
I've never had anything wrong with me like this other than a nasty turn with covid in February and I'm so worried its going to turn into something more serious. It just came out of the blue!
Any experiences and ideas around how long recovery time takes would be appreciated!
