Autumn fans 2023

It feels very autumnal today - not chilly thank goodness but a nice comfortable temperature after the sticky weather.

It is dark though after some storms, and it's the first day I have the candle lit. I'm using the rainy Sunday as an opportunity to watch a new box set and relax before the week starts again.

I had some delicious pumpkin cake yesterday and feeling quite happy about the start of autumn this year. Usually I am depressed about the end of summer and the long slog of winter ahead, but this year I feel more positive. I like that shops are now getting on board with autumn decor and celebrating the seasons, rather than just Christmas, Easter, summer then back to Christmas.

It’s very autumnal in north east Scotland. Chilly enough for black tights, I’m thrilled!
Ive planted some chrysanthemums in my pots, switched to an autumn door mat and put up autumn wreaths. I have an apple crumble from our own apples ready to go in and I’m about to light the wood burner. Honestly I’m so happy! Autumn was always very difficult for me thanks to multiple CSE anniversaries but I’ve embraced it for years now and actively look forward to it.

Great thread. Have a lovely Sunday afternoon ❤️

Oh a lovely Autumn thread.

I have my log burner on as it's cold, grey and heavy rain today. I've put a candle on and got the throws out.

It's my favourite time of year Grin

Feels like it’s definitely here now. I’m waiting until the official start on 21st to put up some decorations. I don’t go daft with it but it’s just something I enjoy.
Trying some new autumn recipes this week and counting down to GBBO.

I've got this week off so 'closing down' the garden and putting out some autumn planters

Planted out my pumpkin seedlings a few weeks ago too. They are growing fast

October tomorrow! This weekend I'm going to collect in some of my apple harvest and sort out the garden before the weather changes too much. I won't have much more evening time after work soon to get outside.
