How do you wear your glasses with long hair?

I just saw this sponsored ad of Monopoly Go on Facebook and the way this woman wears her glasses makes me feel funny and now I need to know if anyone else does this and why? I hate the feeling of having my hair trapped down the back of my top or in my glasses like this 😂

I don’t know what’s happening with her left eye. I can see eyebrow? So it’s not down the back of the glasses. Is that the bit you mean?

The arms go under my hair, never over it like that.

Blossomandbee · 17/09/2023 12:59

I only wear mine for reading, but god no I couldn't bear my hair under the arms like that!

ThePoshUns · 17/09/2023 13:00

What an odd way to wear glasses.
Mine go under my hair

Bananasplitlady · 17/09/2023 13:03

Isn't that the quirky lady from a previous Bake Off?
I would never do that, it's weird and would feel all wrong. I tend to have mine on top of my head, or an arm tucked into my neckline or on a string thing depending on the glasses I'm wearing (some slip off). If they are on my face, I wear them in the normal manner.

NotFastButFurious · 17/09/2023 13:16

I thought it was the lady off Bake Off too! I definitely wear mine under my hair.

YouNeverCanTellWithBees · 17/09/2023 13:32

It is Kim Joy from Bake Off. I love her but I could not do that with my hair, it would feel weird!

toomuchfaster · 17/09/2023 13:34

Arms always under my hair, that looks really annoying!

Yes! She says right at the beginning of the video that she was on Bake Off and wrote a cook book.

No the arms of her glasses are over her hair!

I always have my hair up if I’ve got my glasses on, I don’t think it looks right with the hair down.

Cheeesus · 17/09/2023 14:04

Oh! I thought you meant the front and her fringe.

Yes the arm is weird. As with sunglasses, I’d put the hair on top.

pizzaHeart · 17/09/2023 14:06

it very unusual, neither I nor DD ever wore glasses like this and I never saw anyone who wore glasses like this. For one reason that it’s more slippery.
I wouldn’t say it’s weird as maybe she has some sort of sensory issues or problems with her ears that’s why.

UnravellingTheWorld · 17/09/2023 14:06

I have never in my life worn glasses like that

pizzaHeart · 17/09/2023 14:08

By the way is it her real hair? Maybe not and she needs to hold them in place.

Mine too.

Clefable · 17/09/2023 14:32

Under hair but sometimes at home in the evenings my ears get a bit sore from having glasses on all day and wearing them over my hair like this gives them a bit of a rest! Never when out and about though!

mrssanchez · 17/09/2023 16:27

Just tried it, looks and feels seriously weird!
