I am no dentist but have had my fair share of dental visits….this looks infected.
Were you prescribed any antibiotics?

MissHoollie · 16/09/2023 23:07

Hi , no I wasn't given any antibiotics.
I phoned dentist yesterday to ask if they could prescribe me some to be told no as all the dentists had finished for the day to use corsodyl . Which I've been doing all week.
Thanks for info

That looks very raw and sore . Call
out of hours at the hospital they see dental emergency’s.

Gurgle with Half cup boiled water half from tap and t spoon of salt and use that for the time
being.

Possibly a dry socket? But usually that is really painful? Gently rinse your mouth with warm salty water, especially after eating, take painkillers if you need them. You could also try some corsdyl mouthwash. You can call 111, but they may only give you an appointment if you say it's really painful.

Dentist here
The photos aren’t very clear, could you share any that are a bit clearer?

Normal to have some soreness however it might be something called a dry socket. Keep the area really clean with salt water rinses/ keeping the rest of your teeth clean and painkillers if needed, and if the pain increases call 111/ your dentist.
