Desperate for some advice.

My boy was sick on Thursday at school.
He’s still been off his food since but seemed happy and energetic today. 48 hours had passed so i honestly thought it was over.
Didn’t want his tea and has just been sick everywhere 😞
He has done a normal poo on the meantime.
Sick was not bile, it was sick.

Back to day zero for me and his brother. I honestly want to just curl up in a ball and disappear. I don’t know whether to scream, cry, shout, sit in silence and disbelief. This phobia absolutely cripples me.

Is this likely noro? Would you see a doctor? He’s seems absolutely fine now.

Single mumming it as well so just sat at home on my own trying to bleach everywhere 😢

No, I wouldn't see a dr for this.

My DD once had a bug where she was sick a few times over a couple of days, then had about 3 days where she was fine, then was sick again one evening. I think it was maybe her stomach was still a bit sensitive from the bug.

I also have pretty severe emetophobia so do totally understand how you feel right now!

It doesn’t sound like noro - that’s normally a few voms closer together than that. Could be covid? That seems to present with d and v in children more than adults. Does he have a temp? My son is sometimes sick when he has a fever.
I wouldn’t see a Dr. Just bleach everything and wash your hands in hot water.
Is it the fear of you being sick yourself?

He's likely overdone it once his appetite came back. Probably been bouncing around a bit more as he felt better, too, so it's a reaction to eating a bit too much and then dashing around like a made thing again.

I am emetophobic too and know exactly how you feel. Want to run away, and keep on running. But of course you cant. I learnt that one of mine can't tolerate any dairy after a tummy bug and have to completely avoid it for a few weeks and gradually reintroduce it. If not he starts being sick again. Has he happened to have dairy since he begun eating/drinking again?

Thank you for the replies, I definitely need grounding because my anxiety is through the roof!
Don't worry, I hide it well. Of course him being well is my number 1 priority!!!

Tbh he was back to normal today so we just Carrie don BAU, however, he hasn't had much of an appetite at all which is not how he normally recovers from sickness bugs. Normally once it's out he's fine.
He's had a bit of toast, bit of fruit, not much else.... he did actually have a bit of a donut today which in hindsight was ridiculous but I honestly was trying my best to not over think it all.

I wonder if he's still contagious now?.....

I'm so stressed this phobia crippled me. I've reached out to the gp and minds matters countless times. Had counciling, cbt therapy... nothing is making it any lighter.

He's had no other symptoms of anything at all.
He has complained of a tummy ache on and off last week. My youngest had a strange day last weekend where he wouldn't eat anything and was suggesting he get sick but wasn't actually sick.....
I honestly don't know what's going on :(
