I've been really hoping to take DH and DS on holiday for Christmas. In my head, all year, it's been a holiday to a specific place in the Caribbean. We went on our honeymoon and loved it, and I'd love to take DS back. DH would get to do something that he couldn't do but has always wanted to at the same time, coincidentally, so that sealed the deal for me!
It was dependent on some work things, and although they've pretty much come off, it feels a bit too late. The costs are a lot higher than I'd expected, and DH has sagely pointed out that we could do some much-wanted house renovations for that much...
So I'm considering other options. We could stay home, but I have a lot of trauma around late December/Christmas at the moment and I like the idea of escaping that.
So if you were going to spend anywhere up to £4k ish, and could go for as long as you wanted in December/early Jan - where would you go?
It'll just be the two of us, plus DS, who will turn 2 in December.
