Does anyone have hair highlights at every other appointment?

I don't want my hair to go much lighter than it is. My hairdresser suggested just having my roots done next time. Just wondered if anyone else does this? Will it not make it look like my highlights are growing out? If that makes sense?

I have this done, it'll be fine, if you keep getting highlights then gradually if all gets lighter. Having the roots done will stop you having noticeable regrowth without pulling the lighter colour further down your hair. Go for it!

Depending how often you go you can alternate between a full head and half head highlights. I'm usually about 8-10 weeks between appointments so tend to have a full head each time
