I'm looking to arrange a small informal work meeting for 5 colleagues to meet up somewhere in the Midlands for a few hours. Leicester area ish.
My idea would be that it would be a pub or somewhere else, where we could arrive at around 11, get coffee and talk/use laptops for an hour or so, so ideally we'd have a reasonable sized table and not be very close to other diners (we won't be discussing anything desperately confidential, but we'd be more productive if the environment wasn't crowded/rowdy). Then order lunch and maybe stay until around 2/3 pm.
I don't think my work would pay a significant sum for a meeting room, but would probably be OK with an arrangement where it was free or very cheap on the condition we bought lunch and refreshments.
Any ideas? We'd be fine with going earlier in the week, so we're not hogging a table at a busy time.
