My friend got up yesterday morning to find a dog tied to her back door. We live in a village-and nobody has ever seen her before. She isn't chipped. She's youngish, healthy, seemingly well looked after, well trained and friendly. Friend will give her a home-despite the dramatic sulks of the resident spaniel-but is there anything else she should do? Police and local vets obviously shrugging!
