How best to help Libya flood crisis?

I can't see a thread on this. What's the best way to help? Is it donation to the Red Cross? Happy to donate clothes etc but unsure best way of getting them to where they are needed?

I would say Red Cross or MSF. Or Oxfam. There may be a co-ordinated DEC fundraiser.

Thank you. It seems the DEC only monitoring situation at present so they recommend donating to Red Cross.

Very unlikely DEC will launch an appeal. To do that UK NGOs have to say they can spend money and most of them are not operational in Libya. It is a very very difficult operating environment for NGOs from a security perspective and they probably wont go in. Red Cross/Crescent are your best bet. UN have launched an appeal which will include the agencies too.
