Strange recipes your family have invented

My mum invented the sage and onion omelette. She always added dried sage and onion packet mix and then served with ketchup . The sage and onion bits would stay a little bit hard. Recently recreated it and fell in love all over again . Have you or your family invented any other delicious but strange recipes? I might be tempted to try some .

Very outing but what the heck...

Sweet dumplings.

Make dumplings (like you would for a stew or casserole) then boil them in water until they float.
Serve smothered in sugar and butter.

Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Melted cheese and crackers. Put slices of cheese in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Then drain and scoop onto crackers. So good.
