I’m due to go and watch the tennis at the AO Arena tomorrow and Saturday. Seeing some stuff on Twitter about problems with food and drink running out and long queues.

Am due to take DC at the weekend.

Can you take water in bottles to your seat?

Basically, is it really poor? I will be ok but the kids will need drinks etc. I accept you can’t take your own stuff in and it will be expensive but it sounds really poorly organised.

I'm wondering the same thing, I'm going tomorrow. I'm confused about the water thing - it says you can't take in food and drink, but then it also talks about clear water bottles being allowed, so maybe there are refill points inside?

I’m going to take a clear plastic disposable bottle and try and get it through. I’m excited for the tennis but kind of nervous of this sort of stuff taking the shine off the day.

You can't take your food and drink in. The queues were long for food and drink. There's not much choice of food and drink, a few sandwiches, nachos and dips or hotdog about £6 each. You can take in empty clear plastic drinks bottles in. Some of the toilets have water fountains to fill containers but these were broken in some toilets. You can ask food bars to fill your drinks bottle but queues were long. Sandwiches had run out by 7pm when we wanted one. So not great catering at all. They started letting people out to come back in again which it said isn't allowed on signs. We didn't try. We had our lunch before we went in and shared a nachos and were starving by 9pm when we left!
