I have £40 to spend on Amazon - what should I buy?

I don't want to brag but I've got myself a FORTY POUND Amazon voucher. Big day for me. I have no idea what to buy. There's plenty of things I could get for the family, but selfishly I'd quite like something for me... What have you bought recently in that price range that you love? Ideally available on Amazon 😅 I'm open to any suggestions!

foulksmills · 13/09/2023 20:54

A toaster
A few books
A novelty lamp

fishfingersandtoes · 13/09/2023 20:55

I’ve recently spent about that on a pair of swimming goggle, battery charger and an audiobook. Enjoy!

Babaganoo · 13/09/2023 21:07

@strawberryblue my trotters could do with some TLC but I fear a foot spa would end up gathering dust along with the massage gun and the "14 in 1 vegetable chopper" that DH was insistent that we would "use everyday"

@foulksmills ooo novelty lamp is a nice idea. How about this one? amzn.eu/d/ccwIKe8 (no idea if links work in the app but FYI it's a novelty lamp of a cow being abducted by aliens...) out of my price range but quite unique!

@fishfingersandtoes god I'd love more books but I definitely need to donate some before I buy anymore!

@foulksmills yes it's far too expensive, but a girl can dream... That floating globe is pretty cool! Maybe I could finally get good at geography. Spent years believing Argentina was in Europe 😬

I've got a step machine in my Amazon basket, it's been in there since August but money was tight with it being the summer holidays so I couldn't order it. So, I'd put the £40 towards that, leaving a tenner to pay.

cornflower21 · 13/09/2023 21:32

I would her myself something snuggly and cozy- nice , soft warm pjs or teddy bedding or some nice comfy slippers.

ArcticBells · 13/09/2023 21:33

Whatever you want?

Babaganoo · 13/09/2023 21:36

@pennyfest oo I've never thought about getting one of those! Do you think you'll use it a lot?

@cornflower21 yeah it's definitely getting towards that time of year isn't it! Or maybe a nice stereotypically autumnal scented candle!

*Some nice skincare stuff or handcream?

*I recently bought an eye mask, you heat it in microwave and it has weighted beads that warm up, it's lovely on the eyes after a long day.

*Nice candle?

Babaganoo · 13/09/2023 21:37

@ArcticBells oh brilliant thanks, that hadn't occurred to me...!

😜 I'm just looking for some inspiration

@GivetheCataBone does the eye mask not just make you want to immediately go to sleep? I've got a 1 year old so if I close my eyes before I'm in bed I will conk out lol. They do sound relaxing though. I use one of those lavender scented microwave bead bags when I get period cramps and they're very soothing.

@Babaganoo I doubt it! 😆 I'd like to think I'll give it a good go though. I've had a cheap treadmill in the past that didn't get used much but that was partly because I had to wheel it from the cupboard and unfold it each time I wanted to use it. This is far smaller so can just stay down the side of the sofa!

Summerisnearlyhere1 · 13/09/2023 21:46

I'd buy books...and ebooks don't take up any room! 😉

InterestingUsernameTBC · 13/09/2023 21:50

Why does Amazon suggest I buy that alien/cow lamp with a bottle of aloe vera anal lube?!

Babaganoo · 14/09/2023 06:37

@InterestingUsernameTBC probably Jeff Bezos' idea of a good night

piscofrisco · 14/09/2023 12:19

I dunno but now I really want the cow being abducted lamp!!!

D20 · 14/09/2023 12:32

Neom sleep milk is a nice round £40 otherwise gelli plate (craft related), Purito BB cream, lego.

ManchesterLu · 14/09/2023 13:29

I'd pick a few books from my wishlist, and maybe some bubble bath and a nice candle. Probably wouldn't get all that for £40 to be fair though haha.

frankie001 · 14/09/2023 14:07

I had a £30 voucher that I spent yesterday.
pair of wireless earbuds, a new sturdy laundry basket and some pillow cases to match my new cover less duvet.

bjjgirl · 14/09/2023 14:14

I use Amazon all the time- really good for storage for in fridge / cupboards / desk
Great Korean skin care
Oodie for the winter
Wellies

BeverleyMacker · 14/09/2023 15:20

A nice fluffy throw,a book, chocolate and a candle.

morbidcuriosity · 14/09/2023 17:16
