For me this was just vitamin level that was withing range but at the very lower end so they wanted to let me know and ask me to book a repeat to check it again to be sure.

Spinet · 13/09/2023 15:24

'minor abnormalities' will really be that. They don't text for serious issues. I will put money on it being high cholesterol or something - that you have to act on, but not imminent emergency.

Spottyhousecoat · 13/09/2023 15:25

Last time I got this text they wanted to let me know my blood sugars were slightly high and just to watch my sugar intake. Nothing to worry about, no further action.

Mine was low vit D recently

ThisNameHasChanged · 13/09/2023 15:26

It could be anything, noone will be able to tell you on here as we don't know the results. Try not to worry, I know it's hard. I had a similar text and it was because my Vitamin D was extremely low and another because I needed to start medication for my thyroid.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 13/09/2023 15:27

If it was serious they'd call you with the results. My DD had blood tests that showed a serious abnormality and they rang her every few minutes until she answered. So try not to worry.

HappyPurrrsday · 13/09/2023 15:28

I’d be thinking low on vitamin D or iron and doctor wants me to take a vitamin

MCOut · 13/09/2023 15:36

I receive similar messages and it’s usually iron or vitamin D

Riverlee · 13/09/2023 15:41

I think they text a message, because it saves a phone call. It’s does say ‘routine appointment’, so I wouldn’t consider it urgent.

Fupoffyagrasshole · 13/09/2023 15:48

probably like low iron or something

SmileLikeUMeanIt · 13/09/2023 16:31

Log onto NHS app, I can find my blood test results on there. For me it was folate.

nether · 13/09/2023 16:42

It really does mean it's minor.

If it was anything concerning, someone would have rung to speak to you, and would probably be making an appointment asap.

And if it was deeply concerning, someone would have rung about an urgent hospital referral

AnnaMagnani · 13/09/2023 16:43

It means something minor and non urgent.

GoodVibesHere · 13/09/2023 16:46

It means something 'minor' such as low iron but personally I don't think it's a particularly nice way to receive the message and a phonecall would be nicer. They don't have the resources to do that though.

chychyete · 13/09/2023 16:54

@SmileLikeUMeanIt I was thinking that but I can't find anything how did you access it

Your health on the bottom row, GP health record and then test results.

justasking111 · 13/09/2023 17:00

Mine was low folic acid. I've had a three month prescription then I'm back for bloods again. No Biggie

chychyete · 13/09/2023 17:04

@SmileLikeUMeanIt unfortunately it's not showing I can just see medication but nothing to do with test I selected the option that says gp heath records
