Which holiday would you choose?

It's to do a bucket list activity for me. There's a choice of two locations/packages for the dates I want:

1. Short flight, short transfer, no food or drink included and the more expensive option.
2. Slightly longer flight, lower standard of accomodation (described as basic but clean), most food included for a cheaper price, but 4 hour transfer from the airport.

It's the transfer that's putting me off, otherwise I'd go for option 2.

Is there any difference in the actual activity? How much time will you spend at the hotel?

I’ve been to Transylvania and the place I stayed was also fairly basic but no more so than basic hotels in Greece etc.

On the basis that you could save enough for another break I’d go for the cheaper one, assuming the quality of the experience you are going for is the same.

Personally I would go for the Transylvanian one but that's only because I've been to Italy about six times.

But I do love Italy, and I prefer to find local restaurants rather than eat whatever is on offer in the accommodation.

So maybe Italy.
