Hi everyone, I'm thinking of moving up North from SW. I don't know anyone there, I'm aware this will be a big change for me and when the time comes I will give it my all to connect with the locals etc. my question is does anyone have any tips on how to take it slowly? I work for myself and so am fairly flexible. But I do own my house in the south so I don't want to suddenly buy when I'm not certain about what it feels like up there. So how do I do a trial run or get more experience in the area other than just visiting? This is a tricky question I know but I thought maybe if someone has experience they may have some tips. Like, following a group in the area on Facebook or things like that.. thanks!
