One sided breast pain/tenderness

Just wondering if anyone gets breast tenderness/pain on one breast more than the other. I always seem to get it on my left breast more than anything.

As a regular hormonal type of ache yes I had this in my left breast every month for many years. It was always my first sign that my period was due .

However , when I had a different type of pain only in my right breast I made an appointment to see the GP. Turned out to be an aggressive cancer that ended in a mastectomy. You dont mess around with unusual symptoms.

My Oncologist told me to take note of every different event in my body and to get it checked out if it hadnt gone away within 2 weeks. This piece of advice has helped me not be paranoid .
