October half term - hot sun needed!!

We'd really like to escape into some sun for the October half term break... other than the Canaries, where can we look for weather hot enough to lie by the pool all day? Ideally a max of 5ish hours flight from UK.

I think Cyprus is still nice?

Oh, hadn't thought of Cyprus! Is that a fair certainty for heat at that time?

Normally, I'm not so fixated on weather - we're happy going off exploring and doing lots of things so if the weather's a bit off it doesn't matter. But we've had a bit of a shit & busy time so the only thing I want to do is sit on a sun lounger, dip in the pool and probably sip an ice cold beer!

I know Dubai would be a certainty, but put off by the flight time (it's only a week, max), and tbh, their approach to 'morality' really gives me the rage!

Cape Verde? I think it’s a little over 5 hours but you’re pretty much guaranteed the weather
