Southport lunch venue

I'd like to take an elderly relative for lunch in Southport at the weekend. Mobility is an issue (can manage a short distance) so a guaranteed parking space v nearby is essential. Any recommendations gratefully received.

Does it have to be in Southport itself? My parents like Master McGraths which is between Southport and Ormskirk, it has plenty of parking.
In the town centre they like Bistro Pierre - there is parking outside on Lord Street but it's difficult to get a space so you might need to drop your relative off and park in a car park.
