Heel prick test - CF

I received results back from heel prick test for my son. It was done when he was 6 days old, however letter says sample was taken when he was over 8 weeks old (he’s only 7 weeks today) therefore they didn’t test for Cystic Fibrosis. Is it possible it’s just a mistake in the letter? What do I do now, as it was important for me he gets tested for all the conditions, this is exactly the reason why I agreed for this test and brought him to the appointment. If I contacy GP can they repeat the test before it’s not too late. I don’t know if I’m being just too anxious, but I am really upset 🙁

I would seek to contact the testers for more information.

@user1471505356 thank you. I rang them and there was an error, they sent bunch of letters with incorrect information. We will get the new one and lady on the phone checked results for me and he was tested for CF and it’s negative phew
