Another Universal Credit Migration Question

I got the notice through that I would be migrated to Universal Credit, so I put in an application on the 3rd. I went through all the steps, uploaded evidence, and used the government gateway to verify my identity. Fine.

Tax credits have now stopped, so I logged on to request an advance.

It says I can't have one yet because I either haven't verified my identity (The journal says I confirmed my identity with the government gateway) or because they haven't decided if I'm eligible.

How long should it take to decide if I'm eligible? I've heard of people applying for an advance on the day they first apply, and I'm panicking a bit.

They can be completely useless. I would give them a call this morning when the lines open. Sometimes that will be enough to get things sorted. If not they can tell you if there’s any issues your/their end.

I'll try that. Fingers crossed!

Couldn't get through to the helpline a couple days ago, so I wrote a note in my journal. No response. Now waiting on the helpline to pick up again.
