Angela Cass’s defense has claimed that she must have had some sort of “blackout” at the wheel, to explain the fact that she fled the scene after hitting and then driving over a cyclist, leaving him with life-changing injuries. If this were true, it’s not clear why she should even be considered safe behind the wheel…? Unbelievable verdict from the judge.

Mum ran over neighbour's legs then claimed 'it wasn't me'

Driver says she has no memory of crash and believes she may have suffered a blackout behind the wheel

The penalties for careless and dangerous driving are often far too lenient in my opinion, but in this case it seems from the article there are a number of medical issues at play.

None of us can really comment on whether this is the right verdict without being in the court to hear all the evidence.

If she has medical issues that interfere with her ability to drive safely, then… (you finish the sentence off!).

Once again, none of us have heard all the evidence.

Sounds like there's lots more to it
