Where is my period?

Help.

I'm so so worried about this. I am 42 with 2 toddlers. Since having my second over a year ago my periods have been slightly...only slightly irregular.

Used to be almost on the dot 28 days and now anywhere from 24-34 days.

My period is currently 3 weeks late. I've been having this clear discharge for the last 2 weeks which I thought was the beginnings of it but no joy.

I've got sore nipples and feeling bloated

Panicked last weekend and bought a cheapie pregnancy test. Absolutely only 1 control line. No hint of anything else

Surely if I was pregnant it would have shown by then? I'm on the mini pill but have had a few D&V bugs that has me panicked.

Is this peri starting? I'm so worried about where it's gone??

Likely peri, same happened to me after I had DS 2 years ago. I am now 45, 5 months late(!) and def not pregnant.

God this sucks

Honestly it's so different for everyone, you may be lucky and have no symptoms at all. Personally I had a few weeks of insomnia and hot flushes a couple of months ago but nothing since. There's stats on it somewhere.

It is weird to come to terms with mentally/emotionally though.

Have you been ill at all? My period just turned up a few weeks late, definitely not pregnant, but I had a virus around the time of ovulation which I think meant it just didn't happen then but happened a couple of weeks later when I recovered.

If you're on the mini pill your periods might have stopped because of that. Or becoming lighter and more irregular. Worth doing another pregnancy test in a couple of weeks, but likely down to the mini pill. Which one are you on?
