Power of mumsnet... help me find this yoghurt

I have a very very picky eater - and miraculously said child fell in love with a yoghurt served at nursery. Unfortunately nursery 'can't' remember the brand - so I'm left trying to work it out from comments made by my 4 year old! We've started school now too so I can't ask for the pot etc.

Apparently the yoghurt is mango flavoured, in a medium pot with a picture of a black and white cow on it. I looked in both Sainsbury and Tesco this morning - but couldn't spot anything matching the description (though the shelves were pretty empty). Google just returns images of the Gourmet brand.

Help detectives of mumsnet! Any suggestions please 🧐

I would have said it sounds like the collective mango yoghurt but those would be expensive for a nursery to serve. I'm really surprised nursery don't remember though, maybe ask them where their shopping comes from usually and take DD to have a look at the yoghurts there to see if any spark her memory?

Is it this one https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/291856763

Suckies? Little Yeo?

I also thought of The Collective but they only do big pots and pouches. Their yoghurt is indeed lush.

ReeseWitherfork · 11/09/2023 11:58

Oh I’ve just clicked on Anchors image and think suckies is the same brand

GalileoHumpkins · 11/09/2023 12:00

Don't nursery have their food delivered in bulk from a wholesaler?

0021andabit · 11/09/2023 12:02

I think it sounds like The Collective - they do individual pots now, I think

Ohyay · 11/09/2023 12:06

Longley Farm? They supply alot of education settings.

Drews · 11/09/2023 12:08

Rachels ?

DrMarshaFieldstone · 11/09/2023 12:11

Longley Farm is a good shout, especially if you are in the north. They don't do a mango flavour AFAIK but they do do a peach melba and a mandarin which might be confused for mango.

cherryassam · 11/09/2023 12:15

I am very envious if your LO was getting The Collective / Gourmet yoghurt - it is bloody delicious. The cow logo is quite distinctive as well

cherryassam · 11/09/2023 12:24

Just remembered that I think the Arla LactoFree Mango yogurt has a black and white cow on it too

WhiteFire · 11/09/2023 12:44

Little yeos do a mango and banana yoghurt, it might be that.

Avocadocherry · 11/09/2023 12:47

Was it Rachel’s luscious mango? It has a cow on.

WandaWonder · 11/09/2023 12:48

Longlea farm was also my guess

windysocks · 11/09/2023 12:54

Longley farm? Absolutely the best yoghurt!

cordiality · 11/09/2023 12:54

I would like to pop a place marker here to say that you may discover what this miraculous yoghurt was, and go off and purchase it in bulk just in case you don't find it again, but your dear child will then flat out refuse to eat it after one mouthful as it's not quite exactly the same at home as it was at nursery and you'll have 58 of them left in the fridge until they go off in feb 2024.

For these are the ways of Foods The Children Liked At Nursery.

Parapapampam · 11/09/2023 13:52

Was also going to say Longley Farm

Weareoutofwine · 11/09/2023 14:00

This is indeed the way. Darling little son declared love for Quorn nuggets as served by nursery.

Served with love, rejected immediately. "These are the WRONG ones MUMMY..."

A good list of options re yoghurt - thanks all - I'm going to buy a few a see if any of them pass the tests. He eats so little that when we find something he does like it becomes exciting 😅

I've tried asking nursery but they don't remember - they buy in bulk from a wholesale place. And now we've left the nursery for school and I'm desperately trying to find food to fill a lunchbox.

Could be - looks like his little description . I think I'll show him a photo of each one suggested on here and see if any pass the text. Honestly!

A company based in Holmfirth called Longley Farm??

If so, they are the business!! They do an incredible hazelnut one too. Your daughter has impeccable taste!

BodgerBadgerMashup · 11/09/2023 15:06

I don't live in the North any more and this thread has just made me miss Longley Farms yoghurt all over again 😢 It really is the best!
