Birthday present for 6 year old girl

We have really awesome neighbours. Friendly, but not overbearing, feed the cat when we are away, never make any noise, never complain about our noise, loads of baby presents and hand me downs, wonderful neighbours!

Their daughter will turn six this week and I’d like to get her a cool present. I don’t have any six year olds yet so don’t know what would count as a cool present. Apparently she plays tennis and has a couple of baby dolls she likes playing with.

Can anyone offer any inspiration, please?

Something crafty is always a hit :)

I bought a fairy lantern crafting set off Amazon this week for a six y/o girl. Approx £25

They look really pretty and fun to make!

The first thing that came to my mind was craft set. My dd always loved art’n’craft.

But, she also loved science kits eg. Growing crystals (chemistry), building a robot (she did need help even though it was a kit for her age range), making your own slime kit etc.

She also loved Lego! There are so many different sets out there that would appeal to many different interests.

She also loved (still loves) magic so anything to do with magic: fairies, magic wand, magic tricks set, magic potions set, dress ups etc.

She liked getting her own gardening set and planting seeds. Lost interest in having to keep looking after it though and watering her plants regularly became a chore.

Also, buying new outfits for her dolls was always a hit. If your next door neighbour’s 6 yr old likes playing with her baby dolls maybe have a look at dolls clothes, doll nappies, accessories etc.

get her a barbie doll a classic option.

Thank you, everyone!

I think I’m going to go with a craft set this time around. I don’t know what dolls she has so don’t know which clothes to buy or I’d probably do that. And a Magic 8 Ball will be a Christmas present for her.

thanks again.

I'd always steer clear of craft sets, that's the go to present for school friends so we always ended up with loads. Have a look online for some personalised tennis gifts or some funky racquet grips, personalised tennis ball keyring for her tennis bag, mine loved anything that no-one else had at that age!
