Stinging nettle proof lightweight trousers?

I’m sick of getting stung walking the dog, but jeans are so heavy - do I need to invest in actual walking trousers? Or can nettles sting through them anyway?

I seem to get stung through everything. You probably need a big stick to thwack them with instead!

Thanks - I’m so clumsy I’d probably just twat myself in the face with the stick!

I just wear cheap leggings - I've never been stung through them and I'm a dog walker so I'm out for 4-5 hours a day.

I don't think you'd get stung so much in lighter weight trousers, which will also dry faster, which is useful when it rains or walking through wet undergrowth etc.

But they don't have to be expensive. Look in Go Outdoors or outlet shops.

I have these , they're pretty good at sting-proof, not infallible though
