House for sale sign cut down

Hi, we have recently listed a deceased relatives house for sale with a local estate agent and have discovered the for sale sign at the property has been cut down twice within 14 days.
Just asking for opinions of why this may have occurred.
Spoken with the estate agent and they state that this has not occurred with any other properties.

Local yoof mis-spending their youth? I remember some classmates turning up to a house party with an estate agent sign when I was in sixth form.

Otherwise some "local shop for local people" types don't want anyone to know it's for sale in case the sign makes the local area look less like a chocolate box and more normal.

Otherwise someone really wants the wood and will keep going until they have enough for a table?

Otherwise someone has a major grudge against either the estate agents or the deceased.

I've just remembered, this actually happened to the first house we bought, so the sellers ended up getting one of those really high signs screwed into the brickwork. Is that an option?

Disgruntled relative who wasn’t in the will ?
Someone who wants the house for a cheap price and thinks removing the sign will mean less viewers ?
Arsehole neighbours ?
