Aibu to eat pate for breakfast

My DH thinks I'm the only person on the planet who would dream of having pate on toast for breakfast. It was fairly normal when I grew up, my mum used to have it on toast in the mornings.

DH thinks it's a starter meal and that's it. AIBU? It's a great break

Normal here. We ate it for breakfast as far back as the '80's. Very tasty.

I think a lot of people still think of it being like Shippams paste, a lot did back then anyway 🥴

Growing up the only time we had pate was for breakfast. As an adult I found it odd when it appeared as a starter at nice restaurants as I'd never had it at any other time than the morning

Totally normal breakfast for me. Pate, or baked beans, or cheese, or sausage or eggs on toast for every breakfast. I HATE a sweet breakfast and I loathe cereal.

Kippers for breakfast are amazing, as is kedgeree - basically, smoked fish for breakfast is brilliant - so yeah, paté for breakfast, especially if it's smoked mackerel paté, is just dandy.

I tend towards the savoury for breakfast - I like miso soup and cold soba noodles.

In winter I eat lentil soup for breakfast with my pate on toast. Hot, delicious and filling. Perfect for the chilly and dark east coast of Scotland.

Went to Poland and the breakfast buffet was full of meat, cheeses, paté etc. It was absolutely delicious so a massive yes go for it

I live in Germany.It's totally normal to eat salami, pate , ham and cheeses for breakfast .I do with cucumber and tomato .Do not know when we last had cereal for breakfast.
