Mine is the car one, where the father says to the daughter he is glad she didn't buy an electric one. Is he deaf? Dosn't an electric one sound totally different to a petrol one?

I always want to shout at the TV.

The electric car one which says something like 'Who said electricity isn't exciting?'. I want to shout at the TV and answer 'No one'.

Dobbyatemysocks · 10/09/2023 11:42

All of them!

It's the patronising tone they all use, trying to convince us that their products will drastically change our lives.

Spoiler alert - THEY DON'T

Daytime TV-style ones for life insurance or funeral plans featuring poor acting, often from famous names.

Beach holiday ads where families are all shiny and happy. Where’s the sweat, sunburn and arguments? 😅

I've been on All4 app and you don't seem to be able to fast forward the ad breaks.

The Diet Coke ad with Kate Moss is on virtually every break with that god awful version of I Just Want To Make Love To You.

I keep the remote in my hand to mute it as quickly as possible.

AnchorWHAT · 10/09/2023 11:55

The current crisp one where the woman rolls her eyes back and all you see is the whites of her eyes, makes me feel ill.

TheThingIsYeah · 10/09/2023 12:01

The advert for British Seniors life insurance

”I’m 50 years old and I’m a non-smoker”

Well you must have had a very difficult paper round because you look about 70 to me. Terrible casting.

RaraRachael · 10/09/2023 12:03

We've got one in our area for a local garage which is so outdated and sexist it makes me want to throw something at the telly.
Family arrive at garage to buy new car - male salesperson takes dad away to show him cars while mum and the kids are shown into a room where she has a coffee and the kids play with toys. Obviously women never drive and have no input into what kind of car to buy - this was what it was like in the 70s 😡

Epicstorm · 10/09/2023 12:05

The Tesco mobile one where the shopping trolley uses a string of sausages to rescue someone from a well.

Bluevelvetsofa · 10/09/2023 12:05

The one where they’re saying ‘sausage’ all the time. I think it might be insurance, but it means I wouldn’t use whatever company it is.

MrsJackRackham · 10/09/2023 12:09

Any one that computer generates babies or animals talking. Creeps me right out.

There must be different ads in different areas as I've never seen that one - thank goodness!

Yes this 😂 no way is she 50!

Poonami. Enough said.

MintJulia · 10/09/2023 12:30

The one for the robot lawn mower. Says something like 'look at the sky, free your mind to concentrate on the essentials' and then goes on about a robot lawn mower with some sort of super guidance tech and no cables. Picture of perfect striped lawn.

Honestly, who gives a toot. I can't think of anything less essential then a striped lawn !

Longlive · 10/09/2023 12:33

The bloody BT broadband one where they all come crashing through the ceiling. Arggghh

Likewise, but even worse are the ones where grown men talk like.babies.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 10/09/2023 12:42

I can't stand the ones on local radio when they have someone putting on the local accent (badly). Just get a proper local to do it!!

I was once asked to be on a consumer panel for new cars & showrooms.
I said I thought it was important for the showrooms to look clean & tidy.
Older chap sitting next to me says ‘there she goes, next she’ll be wanting fancy carpets & matching curtains’
i replied that I’d be buying new cars long after he’d be pushing up the daisies (yep, my exact words)
I was given a £40 voucher & not asked back…. And I’ve never bought that make of car again!

Excitedannie · 10/09/2023 13:38

Anything with animals in it as my dog
Goes NUTS when they come on! I didn't realise how many adverts have dogs or horses in them!!

And the supernoodle one with the donkey - shouts for about 5 seconds too long IMO

Eukanuba · 10/09/2023 13:41

That phone ad when the woman makes Awww noises , in the spa , over dinner - so annoying.

thesnailandthewhale · 10/09/2023 18:02

The Pantene one (I think?), "nothings gonna dull my shine" 🙄

catndogslife · 10/09/2023 18:48

We Buy any Car
Terrible service when we used them, tried to make us take our car back and knocked down the price.
