I have very curly hair and would love a more sleek less mad witchypoo look - i get my hair blow dried for special occasions and really like it. Anyone had it done and have an opinion?

Keratin has transformed my hair frizz. Not sure what it does to really curly hair - what sort of finished look are you going for? I have nano keratin and love it. Makes my hair feel amazing and I don't have to blow dry it for it to look good.

I started getting keratin blowdrys about 5 years ago and I wouldn't go back, they have transformed my thick frizzy hair.

They last almost 6 months for me so I only get it done twice a year, which is good because the actual appointment takes about 3 hrs and is a right faff. I'm very careful about the products I use on my hair to make it last. Absolutely nothing with sulfates or salt.

I had keratin done on my curly hair, and I love it. Makes my hair straight and shiny. I have it done 2 to 3 times year.

I had the keratin express treatment a few times, it reduced frizz and the effect of humidity etc but didn't straighten.

I have had Paimore Straightening a few times and it is amazing!

like it when i get it blow dried but with a bit of bounce - not flat poker straight. I’m also lazy/rubbish at blow drying or styling - can’t be faffed with the effort and time. In that regards curly hair was a godsend - just wash and go and the least faffing, the better

what shampoo and conditioner are you using please?

I’ve just had mine done, and am overwhelmed by all the different shampoos and conditioners I’ve seen recommended

I have wavy (frizzy) hair and I love it. Have it every three months.
but it isn’t a straightening treatment - I’m not sure it’ll take proper curls to straight. You should probably speak to a decent hair salon and ask advice about your hair because you can’t undo it once done, it has to grow out.

Any sulphate free is fine and there are loads of options around now. Boots has a sulphate free section.
