Dressing inappropriately for the heat

An elderly couple have just got on the same bus as me. It's like a greenhouse. The man is wearing a suit with jacket underneath which is a shirt, tie and handknit (therefore quite thick) jumper.

Do elderly people feel cold at these temperatures or is it an old fashioned thiregardkng, how they'd dress in the 1940s regardless of temperature?

My partner is 73 years old and is wearing a long sleeved sweatshirt and joggers while we are indoors and the temperature is in the high 20s. I am in a tee shirt and shorts because I am feeling the heat.

The old couple you saw are not dressing like it was the 1940s (!) they either weren't born then or were small children.

Yes, many older people DO feel the cold much more than younger folk.
