Just Eat refusing to refund

We ordered a McDonalds through Just Eat last night. Delivery driver turned up with a completely different order. I felt bad for him as not his fault but didn’t want to accept a load of food and drinks that we couldn’t eat and have to get rid of so he said he’d take it back to the restaurant.

Contacted Just Eat and they are saying without photographic evidence that we had the wrong order they won’t refund! They have made errors before and have refunded without a photo. I’d have kept the wrong order to photograph if I known. What can I do? It was over £40! 😩

How did you pay? If it was via PayPal you could get your money back. Same if you used a Visa credit card
I would speak to the restaurant manager as ultimately they are responsible, and it does say that in the just eat rules
it could be that you are offered the food at the restaurant McDonald’s are usually really good at that
I would keep emailing customer service, spamming their social media accounts with the situation, and that of McDonald’s, and hopefully should get some sort of response! The driver is also to blame. He is supposed to check the order numbers match

I paid via Apple Pay 😩

I’ll pop into the restaurant today and speak to the manager. I tried to go last night but it was so busy I couldn’t even park!

I will certainly be a bother to Just Eat now!
