BIG bruise - or haematoma?

How do I tell the difference?!

Bruise is pretty much the size of my hand (fingers and palm); hurts like a bruise would, feels a bit hard in areas; today when I was stretching my leg it really hurt as though stuff inside was tearing.

Do I just need to whack some arnica or something on it?

Google it - it will tell you the difference. I know because I just did.

That is a cracker! How did you do that?

Fell over something while working in the garden. Tbf I can normally trip over fresh air; and it didn't feel as though such a large area was going to be affected!
I think the weird feeling when I stretched my thigh earlier on made me wonder if it could be anything more than 'just' a contusion.

That's a big bruise, haematoma's tend to sit above the skin surface like a blood filled blister.

A haematoma is just the medical word for bruise. Same thing 😊
