So 8 years ago when was pregnant with DS I had to have infusions. I think something to do with iron and I could not obsorb it. I think that's what it was anyway?

After pregnancy I had no more . I have spent many years feeling very drained, no energy, breathless. Tire quick.

I have heard something about this being a long term thing not just a pregnancy thing.

Has anyone had this or know about it?

I know that my mum had low iron when pregnant with me, it was many years ago so no infusions unfortunately.
40 odd years later she is still low on iron and takes supplements and occasionally gets given prescription high dosage supplements to give her a boost until her levels are high again.
So although I've heard of it before, that's the only case I've heard of. Although there are probably many more.
Have you booked a gp appointment to maybe get a referral for a blood test to check?
I think in the meantime there is a liquid iron supplement you can take that is very good. Most places sell it.
