Websites for new lenses for glasses?

Middle age has finally hit and I need reading glasses. I have an old pair of frames from years back prior to laser eye surgery. The quote from Boots to put new lenses in is huge, of course. I've considered new frames but they will still cost more and don't look as good.

I was wondering about just sending them off and getting it done via an online place.

I know there's a risk on fitting and accuracy but it's for fairly low level reading specs, I just can't buy off the peg because of a slight astigmatism.

Has anyone done this? Any websites to recommend or avoid?

Glasses Direct will reglaze - I haven't used that service but never had an issue buying glasses from them.

Lensology. I’ve had normal sunglasses reglazed with my driving prescription and favourite reading frames reglazed with new reading prescription - both pairs are perfect. I didn’t need to worry about perfect alignment because they’re single vision lenses; my DM had a reading pair re glazed with a varifocal prescription and had to send photos of herself with a credit card held on her forehead to give alignment points, these have also turned out fine. They quite often have special offers running.

Specs-by-Post. I have used them for years. Very quick, well priced and reliable.
