Just cooked it (meat needed cooking). What's the last day you would think it's safe to leave it till before eating?

I'd eat it Sunday. Probably Monday as well.

tescocreditcard · 08/09/2023 12:04

If the meat had to be used today I'd eat it by tomorrow to be honest.

Choux · 08/09/2023 12:08

Cooking the lasagne means it's now irrelevant when the meat's use by date was. It can stay in the fridge awaiting eating for as long as if it was made the day you bought the meat.

I would eat it till Sun / Mon. On Monday I would make sure it was thoroughly reheated before eating.

My brother would probably eat it next Friday without a care in the world!

PinkRoses1245 · 08/09/2023 12:17

I'd reheat and eat within next 4 days?

umeboshionigiri · 08/09/2023 12:20

72 hours after cooking. x

NCTDN · 08/09/2023 12:31

Yes my thought it is will be ok for Monday.

I would agree with Monday. If I wasn't sure it would be eaten by Monday, I'd freeze it, preferably today.

soundsys · 08/09/2023 12:40

3 days including the day you made it (unless you made it after 8pm)

So eat it by Sunday :)

(In reality is probably still eat it on Monday)

WaltzingWaters · 08/09/2023 12:45

I generally go for 3 days later as the limit for most things.

Tonight1 · 08/09/2023 13:04

Should be OK on Monday

HollieHobbie · 08/09/2023 13:11

I go with the no more than 3 days rule too. But if I'd just made lasagne it'd then be my lunch 🤣

ThreeLeggedCat · 08/09/2023 13:15

Day of production plus 2. So eat by end of Sunday.

caringcarer · 08/09/2023 16:13

I'd eat and serve to DC on Sunday but if any left for Monday I'd probably eat it and give kid something different.
