There was one on my window last week! I thought it was a tiny snail?

Woodlouse eggs

Definitely a Woodhouse egg.

After mating, females carry their fertilised eggs in a small brood pouch under their bodies. The young hatch inside the pouch and stay there until they are big enough to survive on their own. A common woodlouse can live for three-four years.

Ah now you mention it, I've seen a few woodlouse in my hall lately, which is where I've been finding the eggs. They're harmless, I believe? 👀

Woodlice I should say!

Woodlice eat through any untreated wood. I wouldn't say that they are harmless!
