I am planning to visit my daughter in those south of France (Pau) by rail. I am confident booking the euro train to Paris but the next part of the trip is causing me some concerns.
- Has anyone used Gare Montparnasse train station ? Has it got lifts to the 3rd floor. Are the over head electronic screens easy to use ? Does it list the destination and the list of stations the train stops at ?
- How easy is it to find the correct train. I believe your ticket has a 4 digit number to help you locate the train is this the case ? Before you enter the platform is the trains destination on some signage ?
- If you booked a journey in Europe by train which company did use use, or did you book yourself , if so how easy did you find it ?
