One of my smoke alarms has been beeping for a new battery however no matter what I do I can’t get the bloody cover off. I know what needs to be done - watched YouTube videos to make sure and it’s just not budging. I’m putting the screwdriver in and it shifting it upwards and it seems like the locking latch is pushing up all the way but I can’t slide the cover at all.
My question is this - in absence of a handy person, who could I contact to come and and help with this?? I’ve been trying since yesterday morning on and off and getting nowhere, sweat is pouring off me.
