Child’s body found in Germany - Ben Needham’s mum

Ben’s mum asking for Ben to be considered in this case. Someone is going to be heartbroken.

I think I read that the police have confirmed that they will be looking into it. I can’t begin to imagine what that poor woman and her family are going through and, if it isn’t Ben, what a bloody awful world this is that little babies have that happen to them.

Do they not have a post-mortem interval? They seem to have managed to get a lot of details from the body so far and, if it was Ben, he would have been in there for decades. I just don't think there would be much left of a body in water that long to get that level of information. I'd hazard a guess it is some poor wee soul that has been killed much more recently but then again the police do seem to be taking the lead seriously so I might be totally off.

All they really said was that they believed the child spent time outside of Germany. I suppose they won’t say much more in case it causes any problems with their investigations. Poor little mite.

I really thought that Ben Needham's case had been solved years ago! Including where his remains were?

I think there may have been a report of a death bed confession that they’d accidentally hit him with a vehicle, panicked and taken him away to bury him, but I don’t think it was ever confirmed.

My first thought was that little boy that went missing from his grandparents garden in France not so long ago.

ETA his name was Emile. He deserves to be known by his name.

They are reporting 5/6 years old, so too old for the poor little child who went missing recently. I just hope the discovery gives some peace to a family who are missing their child.

I just googled it to see if I was confused and I’m fairly right. The police believed that he was accidentally hit by a digger doing some work nearby and they found a toy car that was identified as belonging to Ben but the blood on it was ruled out as being his. He has never been found.
