I'm in the market for some new slippers, please show me yours for some inspo! I don't want to spend the earth but id rather get a decent pair that will last rather than some that won't last the winter!

Are Homyped slippers available in the UK? I wear them. Not cheap, but solid and warm, fleece lined, and you can remove the inner soles if you need to use orthotics. Some styles have a velcro fastener.

I wear Arizona suede Birkenstocks as my slippers.

Sheepers every time!!

Bananas1350 · 08/09/2023 06:41

Someone bought me a pair of ugg slippers about two years ago. Never gone back to normal ones from Tesco. More expensive but I have bad feet and they have been much better in these

Ugg Ainsley are good and last ages, they have a very good sole, you can sometimes get them on offer and I would try too as the rrp is about £100. I put mine through the washing machine on a wool wash yesterday as they could dry in the sun and they came up well.

Ihaveawonderfulpartner · 08/09/2023 07:24

I have been wearing Ugg for a few years now and my current ones are pink and glittery. Gorgeous. And when the sheepskin gets a bit tired I just wash them in the machine and they are like new. Dh wears Ugg too.

IrresponsiblyCertainAboutSexualDimorphism · 08/09/2023 07:29

I buy Nordika mules. They have proper soles and last for ages. About 18 months with near constant wear (WFH).

HoppingPavlova · 08/09/2023 07:30

Ugg’s all round in this household. Some of us have summer Ugg’s (like thongs but sheepskin), open back slipper style plus a few different lengths of boots. Others just have one pair😝.

Ilovewillow · 08/09/2023 07:48

I have Birkenstock slippers, a bit pricey but I've had them ages and they are sturdy enough for the odd trip outside too .

User16328715 · 08/09/2023 09:39

I managed to walk out of my backless slipper, trip over it and badly sprain my foot, I then had to spend the next month wearing crocs as it was swollen and bruised. I am always very careful with what slippers I wear now

Surely2023IsTheYearForMyRainbowBaby · 08/09/2023 10:12

I got a pair of sheepskin mules with a really thick rubber sole probably around 10 years ago now. Apart from a slight greasy stain at the front of the toe part they are still going strong and are so comfy to wear.

Azaeleasinbloom · 08/09/2023 10:19

I bought some memory foam from UltraIdeas on Amazon, primarily because I can wash them ! I have had proper soled Dunlops and similar but oh god, my feet must be very sweaty 😱

Homeys. I wfh and wear slippers all the time at home apart from when it's really hot. My first pair of these lasted 3 years, I'm 2 years in with my second and very little sign of wear.

I wish I'd not clicked on this thread. I really want a pair now 😅

Angie147836 · 08/09/2023 10:23

I have a pair of Crocs which I wear around the house in the winter and I find them very cosy. They're also waterproof enough to eg take the bins out, pop to the car to get something out the boot. I don't wear them in public!

justasking111 · 08/09/2023 11:52

I find sheepskin are the only thing that warm regards my feet in the winter especially in the kitchen on the tiles

CheersToMe · 08/09/2023 11:55

I like a Moshulu - last for ever, can chuck in the wash, solid sole for popping outside, not too spenny.

justasking111 · 08/09/2023 12:27

I bet M&S do a decent sheepskin
