I’m 43 and I have long dark hair, albeit dyed these days. My hair has always been very thick and coarse in texture, but if I style it, it’s generally lovely sleek, soft and shiny.
It’s probably just past my shoulder blades in length.
I actually had it cut (trimmed) before I went on holidays recently and then we flew to Florida for 4 weeks, where they were having a heat wave. To protect my hair, I used Moroccan oil and Olaplex no 6 daily.
My hair is now sun bleached and for some reason feels sticky and knotty. It doesn’t glide through my fingers and the ends look bunched and fluffy - it seems to catch. I have used clarifying shampoo, bond repair shampoo, Olaplex 6 etc and nothing is helping. It feels worse at home than on holiday. I also live in hard water area.
What can I do? It feels absolutely disgusting and looks it too. Can’t get an appointment at the salon for a few weeks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
