Tesco coupons

Tesco keep sending me coupons stating £6 off the next week and £4 off the following week as long as I spend £40 or more. They know from my club card that I never spend £40 a week in their store (live on own and buy wine/washing powder/other costly items from Aldi or Lidl) so it seems completely unfair. ☹️

Meh 🤷‍♀️

Ballgateblazer · 06/09/2023 19:39

They haven't sent me any since before covid. I shop with them every week (online). They just want new customers.
Is it worth you bulk buying your usual purchases and then not going as often? Obviously depends on finances and storage.

Its intentionally above what you spend - they want you to buy your wine and washing powder with them, not with Aldi!!

It’s not unfair, just marketing.

It's an invitation, not a summons. Just ignore it.

I've been getting £2 off when I spend £20 I downloaded the app tho for the clubcard .

Sunshineandrainbow · 06/09/2023 19:46

They want you to spend more so they have sent you the vouchers to try and entice you in.

That's why they are sending them, to encourage you to spend more.

That's the point. I get them from nectar/Sainsbury’s, always for a bit more than my average spend. I just buy a bit extra non-perishable stuff to get up to the price eg an extra pack of toilet roll/shampoo. I'm careful to not buy things that will be wasted, so it does actually save me money long term.
But it's a deliberate amount, they want you to decide to get some extras you wouldn't normally buy.

@WeWereInParis At least Sainsbury's give nectar points with every shop - you don't have to spend beyond what you normally would!

Tesco give clubcard point's with every spend as well / they both give vouchers for a little more then you would spend to encourage you to spend more.
