Front door this colour, but what colour woodwork?

I'm painting my door this colour but there is surrounding woodwork and also a wooden canopy. I feel like all the wood in this colour would just be too much, so what colour would you paint the surrounding woodwork.

It has to be painted as its a really awful coloured woodstain that looks awful next to the green.

NOT MY DOOR!

What colour are your window frames?

What colour are your window frames?

White.

With a stone mantal underneath that needs painting.

How about doing the frames in a darker shade of the same colour.

Thinkbiglittleone · 06/09/2023 14:06

I would have them all white and then just the door in your chosen colour rather than different colour frames then a different colour door.

Desecratedcoconut · 06/09/2023 14:08

Black?

DuploTrain · 06/09/2023 14:09

I’d go white

Winederlust · 06/09/2023 14:10

I don't think having it all that colour would be too much at all, but if you're really not keen I'd agree while to match the window frames.

Eleplant · 06/09/2023 14:28

Black would look good but it's really got to be white to match the windows.

Please post a picture when it's done

WhisperingHi · 06/09/2023 14:46

I don't think black or white would look good. I think it'll look cheap.

Paint it all the same colour.

Lonelycrab · 06/09/2023 14:51

I’d go white myself too. Anything else will look a bit unmatched with the rest of your house imo.

morknmindi · 06/09/2023 14:53

Surrounding ha in white but dow the door that green might be a bit much. Maybe a different green, not so lime coloured?

I think I'm going to do the door and the frame in the same green then just leave the wood canopy as it is.

I'd do the frames white to match the windows.
Brown's dated. Grey could become dated, but won't match anyway.
Frames the same colour tends to look quite heavy.

I hate the grey thing passionately, but with this green I actually think a slate grey would go well
