Honda Jazz Servicing Costs

I've just had an emails telling me my 5-year service plan (free when I bought the car) is coming to an end and offering me a new two-year plan for £650! Having not paid for a service for 5 years I'm not that up on costs and whether this is value for money. It does include AA breakdown.
Can anyone advise, please?

I'd say that's a massive rip off, but it depends on whether you want to preserve your warranty. I've never gone to main dealers with cars because they're so expensive. I pay my mechanic neighbour £120 a year to take my 9 year old Suzuki in to his garage and service it. It's still going strong.

Just use a recommended independent garage, it will be significantly cheaper than that.

I will ask one thing though, check that the £650 doesn’t include a warranty - it could be decent value in that case.

Can’t say about the Jazz but I’ve got a ten year old Civic, there’s a local indie garage near me that specialises in Honda, my services are either around £150/£250 as they’re alternating minor and major. There’s local places slightly cheaper but that’s the basic ballpark.

Id say just try and find a good indie garage, Hondas don’t normally need much fixing.
