Camping in the northwest of England

Can anyone recommend a good campsite please no more than an hour away from Liverpool.

I need

Shower and toilets
Electric hook up for a tent if possible but not essential
Dog friendly
Child friendly

maybe a bit too far as geography isnt my strong point! but The Quiet Site is well worth a google.

It's a bit more than an hour from Liverpool maybe, but not much, and Waterfoot Caravan Park on Ullswater (the Pooley Bridge end) might tick your boxes. There's a few nice sites in the area actually.

45 minutes away - we have stayed here a couple of times it's a lovely site - definitely dog friendly as well as everything else on your list. Not one of the huge sites though, so depends what you're after:

Edisford bridge campsite I have never camped there but Edisford' bridge is a firm family ,favourite for picnics etc have been going since I was a small child .
