Filing for 7 year old child

My DD needs a filing done at the dentist. She is a little nervous about having it done. Has anyone’s child had a filling this young? Was it ok?
she is generally happy with the dentist as ours is fairly nice, and doesn’t normally have a fear.

The youngest child I have ever done a filling in was three years old . They also needed an injection and tooth out.

Discuss it with them , but if you are nervous yourself it may be better if someone else went with them.

Let the dentist talk, develop a relationship with them . Your child has to trust the dentist to let them work safely.

what ever you do don't use the classic "the dentist is not going to hurt you" it puts the wrong possibilities into their mind .

Hopefully it is a baby tooth that needs filling which may not even need numbing up but even so the most important thing is to make the changes to their diet so this is their last filling .

My daughter has hypoplastic teeth so needed fillings from 4 as they haven't formed properly. I thought she was going to really struggle but has had two fillings and has been absolutely fine so far.
