One year vaccinations side effects

DD (just one last week) had her vaccinations on Saturday. She 4 - one in each limb. She had a fever later on Saturday and that was ok.

However in the last 24 hours she has been absolutely hysterical, crying a lot, off her food, sleeping badly and a temperature up and down.

Is this the reaction to the jabs or more likely to be something viral?

Im waiting for a call back from the dr but wondering if this is normal.

she’s my first so I have nothing to compare it to?

What did the doctor say? Most likely it is just her immune response to the vaccination and will settle down.

lots of cuddles for you both.

I’ve got 3 DC. First 2, had zero symptoms after each and every vaccination. 3rd DC got a high fever and went off feeds for all her vaccines. The 3rd lot made her lactose and cow milk protein intolerant and she had diarrhoea for 6 weeks. She was in so much agony that I never got the remaining vaccines for her. She’s 3 and I worry that she is unvaccinated, but her symptoms were so extreme I can’t put her through that either.

My DS had his last month and was just like this for 5-10 days after, then all back to normal!

Have you had a look at the NHS site? I'd say it sounds 'normal'.

info

That link doesn’t go anywhere? All the nhs guidance I’ve seen says a few days - she’s still like this 4 days in

This is photos from that link. Not sure why it didn't work. I know all the vaccines have different timings for reactions.

And as that info states - definitely ask for advice if you're not sure. It could be that she has a bug or whatever coincidentally.

My older dc had reactions to all their vaccinations so with my younger dc I split them all up to do just one injection each visit. The one year jabs were particularly bad for my older son he screeched for 4 days and had such a high fever he had a febrile convulsion it was really hard we couldn’t manage it with Calpol and ibuprofen so he had to go to hospital but after a week he was back to normal

Thanks for copying and pasting this, much appreciated

Im waiting for the dr callback but that info doesn’t mention babies still being unsettled / upset 4 days later so I think this is out of the realms of normal
